Video: Major Fire Breaks Out at Yerevan's Surmalu Trade Center
On the night of April 6, a major fire broke out at the Surmalu Trade Center in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, at around 03:10, calls were received by the Emergency Situations Ministry's operational management center reporting a large fire at the Surmalu Trade Center.
The Minister of Emergency Situations, General-Major Andranik Piloyan, also arrived at the scene. Emergency medical teams from Yerevan were promptly dispatched to provide assistance to firefighters, as several firefighters were experiencing health issues due to heavy smoke.
The fire has been classified as a level 3 emergency, and a team from the Medical Support Division of the Emergency Situations Ministry has arrived at the scene. In addition to the firefighters, trade center employees are also working to combat the blaze. It has been reported that an area of 2500 square meters has been completely burned.
