Turkey Will Do Everything to Turn Armenia into Something Like Adjara: Kocharian

"The greatest threat to Armenia comes from Turkey," stated the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, during an interview on the Russian First Channel program "Pozner," when asked about the most significant threat facing Armenia at this time.

"The threat is existential, historical, and is perceived this way by Armenians, and we are also seen as a threat by the Turks. This explains the closed borders and the lack of diplomatic relations," Kocharian added.

He noted that the threat manifests itself in the sense that if the borders were to open, "Turkey will do everything to turn Armenia into something like Adjara in terms of its presence in business and the economy."

"I see a clear threat here," stated Kocharian.
