If We Can Forgive the Turk and the Azeri, Why Can’t We Forgive the Former Ones?

Facebook user Saro Manukyan has made a post addressing the comments of Avan Deputy Mayor Nerses Poghosyan regarding Armenian-Turkish relations and expressing support for them. In response to the post, Deputy Mayor Nerses Poghosyan commented:

"If I say that the Turk is an enemy, does that mean I long for war? I do not desire war; rather, it empowers me to make the enemy fulfill my wishes without war. If we can forgive the Turk and the Azeri, then why can’t we forgive the former ones? After all, not all of them have plundered; among them, there were those who were ready to sacrifice themselves for the homeland from the beginning. In short, the Turk will always remain an enemy."
