Hyundai Elantra Crashes into Iron Gates and Ends Up on Sidewalk Partially on a Tree

A car accident occurred today in Yerevan. At around 21:00, a Hyundai Elantra left the roadway under unknown circumstances on Gurgen Mahari Street in the Vardashen neighborhood, collided with the iron gates of house number 101, and then moved forward, ending up on the pedestrian sidewalk, partially on a tree, according to shamshyan.com.

Rescuers have disconnected the vehicle from the power source and secured the area. The responsible dispatcher of the operational management center of the Yerevan traffic police, Hakob Mashchyan, reported the incident to the 1st platoon of the 1st police company, from where platoon commander Artyom Martirosyan and senior inspector Shakhen Miskaryan arrived on the scene.

An emergency medical team from Yerevan’s 1-03 service also promptly arrived at the location; however, no injured person was found at the scene. The police are investigating the identity of the vehicle owner and driver.
