Armenian Side Has Handed Over All Azerbaijanis, Even Destroyed Graves and Delivered Bones to Azerbaijan: Zohrabyan

Pashinyan must raise the issue of prisoners of war in Moscow and not sign any other document until all our captives return home. This was stated by MP Naira Zohrabyan of the Prosperous Armenia faction in an interview with Factinfo.

As previously reported, a meeting between Putin and Pashinyan is scheduled for April 7 in Moscow, during which the implementation and status of the trilateral declarations regarding Nagorno-Karabakh from November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021, will be discussed, specifically regarding the restoration of economic and transport links. The issue of repatriating Armenian prisoners of war is not on the agenda, although days ago, Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Ayvazyan stated during a meeting with his Russian counterpart that Azerbaijan is grossly violating the trilateral agreement concerning prisoners.

“If Nikol Pashinyan were able to negotiate correctly and wisely, all Armenian captives and soldiers would have long since returned to the Homeland,” said Zohrabyan in an interview with Factinfo, adding that the agreement clearly states that all captives must be returned following the cessation of hostilities.

“The Armenian side has long returned not only those captured during this war but also terrorists, murderers, and the bones of Azerbaijani militants left in Armenian territories since the 1990s. They destroyed graves, removed bones from there, and handed them over to the Azerbaijani side,” the MP noted.

According to Zohrabyan, instead of meeting Erdoğan's and Aliyev's demands, particularly regarding the corridor from Syunik to Nakhchivan, the Prime Minister could have indicated that no communication would be opened until the last captive returned to Armenia.

“I believe that by going to Moscow, Pashinyan will again discuss the issue of unblocking communications, particularly opening a corridor to Azerbaijan through Syunik. But he must raise the issue of prisoners of war and not sign any document until all our captives return home,” he emphasized.

“I am confident that for Aliyev, unblocking communications is of such vital importance that if the Armenian authorities were consistent, rather than lying and deceiving the parents of captives, we would have already made significant progress in the issue of returning the prisoners,” Zohrabyan concluded.

It should be noted that despite the trilateral agreement, according to which all captives must return to the Homeland, about 200 Armenian captives remain in Azerbaijan, while there are no Azerbaijani captives in Armenia.
