Eggs Sold for 2000 Drams Have Been Expensive Before Easter, Says TMDPA President
The TMDPA has initiated administrative proceedings against egg-producing companies. This was announced by TMDPA President Gegham Gevorgyan in an interview with Public Radio.
He stated that it is not the case that what he mentioned has not happened and the price of eggs has not decreased: "In Armenia, large producers were releasing around 860,000 to 900,000 eggs daily, and the release price became 62-64 drams."
When asked about the sale of eggs for 2000 drams in certain areas of the Central region, Gevorgyan responded that those eggs sold for 2000 drams were already expensive before Easter; they are branded eggs.
In response to whether this situation is a sabotage, Gevorgyan stated, "If by sabotage we understand an artificial deficit, then yes, that is one of the hypotheses being discussed."
