Russian Authorities Arrest Ukrainian Nationalist for Planned Mosque Attack

A Ukrainian nationalist planning an attack on a mosque has been arrested in the Russian city of Barnaul. The individual is reported to have been associated with the Ukrainian nationalist organization, the "Ethnic National Union." According to the Federal Security Service, the suspect is a local resident born in 2000.

Security services indicate that he received instructions from the nationalist organization to carry out certain actions in areas with large Muslim gatherings. During a search, explosives, a bomb-making guide, and extremist literature were found in his possession.

The man has already confessed and revealed that he was instructed to select targets for terrorism and execute explosions, fires, or other acts of violence.
