Moses Hakobyan Comments on Controversial Statement by Relative Armen Grigoryan
The Turk, as a neighbor, is not going anywhere; however, not recognizing him as an enemy, I believe, is not acceptable for our people. This was stated by Moses Hakobyan during a conversation with journalists.
Reporters reminded the general that his relative, Secretary of the Security Council Armen Grigoryan, spoke about the Turks, wanting to know if he had talked to him after those statements. The general replied negatively.
Hakobyan disagrees with claims that there should be corrections in relations with the Turks. Recall that during a broadcast on Public Television, when asked by Petros Ghazaryan whether he considers Turkey an enemy state, Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said, "Look, I said that many things in the region have changed; we were just discussing that there is a possibility of unblocking the entire region… if we are going towards the unblocking of the region, then there must be certain adjustments in our approaches."
