Pashinyan and Putin to Meet: Details

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan is set to meet with President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin in Moscow on April 7. According to reports from Armenpress, citing RIA Novosti, this was announced by the spokesperson for the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov.

“A working visit by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan to Moscow is scheduled for April 7. Negotiations will take place with President Putin. You know that an active dialogue is ongoing at the highest level between Russia and Armenia. First of all, of course, the implementation process of the trilateral agreements and the trilateral document that ended the military operations in Artsakh will be discussed,” Peskov stated.

He noted that during the Pashinyan-Putin meeting, issues related to the unblocking of transport infrastructure in the South Caucasus would be addressed, and there would be an exchange of views on the electoral process that has begun in Armenia, as well as relevant issues concerning Russian-Armenian cooperation.

Prime Minister Pashinyan’s travel to Moscow was also confirmed by the spokesperson for the Prime Minister, Mane Gevorgyan, on the morning of April 2. Prime Minister Pashinyan has entered a regime of self-isolation, working on a planned agenda apart from personal receptions and public events.
