Armen Sarkissian Visits Yerablur Military Pantheon

The President of the Republic, Armen Sarkissian, visited the Yerablur Military Pantheon today. He was accompanied by former conscripts of the Armenian Armed Forces who were wounded during combat operations: Arkadi Andreasian, Arsen Hovakimian, Andre Vardumian, Goro Darmanian, and Liparit Melkonyan. The latter have taken up positions within the presidential staff as part of a presidential initiative to support the defenders of the homeland.

President Sarkissian laid flowers on the graves of the heroes who sacrificed their lives during the April 2016 military operations and the recent war in Artsakh, paying tribute to their memory. He also conversed with the relatives of soldiers killed during the Artsakh war who were visiting Yerablur.

The President laid flowers at the graves of Armenia’s National Hero, Artsakh Hero, and the first Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, Vazgen Sarkissian, as well as the National Hero Monte Melkonian and General Andranik.
