Who Will Replace Suren Grigoryan in 'My Step'?

Following the resignation of Suren Grigoryan from the parliamentary list of the 'My Step' alliance, his successor is Misak Babajanyan. In a conversation with NEWS.am, Babajanyan stated that he has long decided not to engage in parliamentary activities and has submitted his withdrawal to the Central Electoral Commission, which has already declared his registration invalid.

"I am engaged in legal practice and do not wish to change my job," said Misak Babajanyan.

Next on the list of the 'My Step' alliance is Vahagn Aleksanyan, the public relations coordinator for the ruling 'Civil Contract' party. In an interview with NEWS.am, Aleksanyan did not clarify whether he would accept the mandate or not, since Suren Grigoryan still has time to withdraw his application in accordance with the law.

It is noteworthy that Suren Grigoryan from 'My Step' has announced his resignation from the parliamentary mandate. According to Article 155, Part 2 of the Constitutional Law on the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, if a member of parliament withdraws his resignation within a week after the announcement, with a written application, the President of the National Assembly makes a statement about it. If he does not withdraw his resignation, an act confirming the cessation of his powers is drawn up, signed, and published by the President of the National Assembly. From the moment the act is published, the resignation is considered accepted.
