The Armenian National Congress is Seeking Alliances, Considering a Coalition with ‘Mongol-Tatars’ as Defined by Ter-Petrosyan
Although the ruling team has not yet made changes to the Electoral Code, and it remains unclear whether the elections will be held under a proportional or majoritarian system, political parties, including the Armenian National Congress (ANC), are already exploring participation formats and negotiating with various and seemingly unlikely political forces.
ANC members do not rule out that they may form a coalition with what has been termed 'Mongol-Tatars' by Ter-Petrosyan, even for the sake of ousting Nikol Pashinyan, similar to their prior alliance with Gagik Tsarukyan during the post-revolution period.
ANC figures understand that they have no chance of participating alone under a majoritarian system; moreover, there are financial concerns, as the ANC does not have wealthy benefactors and will need to source funds from abroad.
