Driver Who Hit and Run Manvel Grigoryan's Brother-in-Law Identified

The police have uncovered the driver who was involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident in the Armavir region on March 25, as well as the vehicle used in the incident.

According to Shamshyan.com, a 34-year-old resident of Armavir, Melsik Poghosyan, was taken into custody on suspicion of causing the accident following extensive operational activities by the police.

The Opel vehicle was found hidden in the backyard of a house belonging to a resident of Gay village. Under pressure of the facts, Poghosyan not only admitted his guilt but also pointed out the location of the hidden vehicle, which was then transported to the protected area of the Vagarshapat police department.

It should be noted that on March 25, a fatal hit-and-run occurred in the Armavir region. Shortly after midnight, the driver of an unknown make and model vehicle hit a pedestrian, 58-year-old Ashot Amiryan, a resident of Yerevan, on the second kilometer of the Ejmiadzin-Margar road, who died at the scene, while the driver fled the scene.

According to sources, the victim was the brother of Nazik Amiryan, the wife of General Manvel Grigoryan.
