We Are in Harmony with Our Conscience, We Have Done Everything Cleanly: Meghri Mayor on State Audit Inspections
The task has been assigned, they came for the inspection. We do not see an issue; they have come in peace, and we also want to know where we have fallen short. This is what Meghri Mayor Mkhitar Zakaryan said in an interview with NEWS.am regarding the inspections initiated today by the State Audit Office in several municipalities of Syunik.
According to Mkhitar Zakaryan, the inspections are focused on the works carried out from 2016 until now, and will last for a month, after which he will definitely inform about the results.
When asked if he finds it strange that these inspections by the State Audit Office started at this time, considering that days ago some municipal leaders in Syunik announced the establishment of the 'Reborn Armenia' party, the Mayor responded: "I do not really believe in coincidences, but let’s not violate the presumption of innocence; there are people who have received a task order and have come for the inspection. In fact, we are glad; I am not saying this for nothing, because I too would like to know where the enlarged community has fallen short in these 4 years. We are in harmony with our conscience, we have done everything cleanly, the rest will be revealed by the inspection."
Additionally, the Mayor of Meghri noted that inspections have also begun in Goris, Kapan, and Sisian.
