Families of Missing Soldiers Wash Remains in Morgues, Check Dental Records to Find Their Children
Families of missing soldiers transferred from the military unit in Ejmiadzin to Zangezur have visited morgues and noted that the bodies and remains of Armenian soldiers found in Zangezur months ago are still being kept in bags.
Back in January, it was reported that during search operations near a school in Zangezur, burned bodies were discovered, which had been buried there by Azerbaijan. The bodies of the soldiers were transported in bags, and parents personally collected their children's remains and delivered them to the morgue 2.5 months ago; however, identification has yet to take place. Moreover, today they are forced to clean the remains themselves.
The mother of missing soldier Vardan Adoian, Anahit Adoian, informed Factinfo that they have been visiting morgues for the second day and reaffirming that nothing is being done to identify their children's corpses.
Parents have been to the Ministry of Health, warning that if they do not receive permission, they will enter the morgues regardless. Ministry officials have asked the parents to wait a few days until authorization could be granted; however, the parents insisted on immediate arrangements without losing a second to prevent any
