Deceased at Georgian-Russian Border Not Armenian Driver, Ministry Clarifies
Information that a Turkish driver killed an Armenian driver at the Georgian-Russian border has not been confirmed. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia, Anna Naghdalyan.
“The diplomatic representations of the Republic of Armenia in Georgia and Rostov have established contact with the relevant authorities of those countries, and this information has not been confirmed,” said the spokesperson.
According to reports, the incident occurred between Turkish and Uzbek drivers a few days ago. One of them died as a result of the altercation. It was previously reported that a fight took place between truck drivers at the Georgian-Russian border, resulting in one fatality. The “360” television channel had stated that the deceased was allegedly Armenian.
