Emergency Situations Ministry Advises Drivers to Use Only Winter Tires

In Armenia, there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads. The roads from the "Amberd" high mountain meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to Amberd Fortress and to Lake Kari are closed, as well as the Berd-Chambarak road.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and is difficult to navigate for other vehicles.

According to information received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs’ Emergency Management Department and the North Ossetia Crisis Management Center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Larsi road is closed for trucks. On the Russian side, 428 trucks have accumulated.
