Prosthetics Center to Open at 'Soldier's House' on April 20
A delegation of renowned doctors from Lyon visited the Yerevan State Medical University after Mkhitar Heratsi. This was reported by the Yerevan State Medical University.
During the meeting, Rector Armen Muradyan introduced the guests to the activities of the Homeland Defender's Rehabilitation Center and emphasized that a Prosthetics Center would open at the 'Soldier's House' on April 20. 'It is important for us that you apply your knowledge at the Homeland Defender's Rehabilitation Center,' noted the head of the medical university.
Aram Ghazaryan, a prominent hand surgeon, head of the hand transplant surgical team in France, and president of the French branch of the 'Country and Culture' charitable organization, highlighted the importance of knowledge in the field of surgery. 'Advancement largely depends on the exchange of knowledge. We always try to adapt new knowledge and ideas to the current situation and create new connections that will be beneficial for young surgeons,' our compatriot added.
Ghazaryan also announced that on May 13 and 14 of this year, meetings would be held in Yerevan between representatives of various university hospitals, during which the future of surgery would be discussed.
Tristan Ferri, co-chairman of the infectious disease department of the Lyon University Hospitals, remarked on the critical importance of organizing the rehabilitation of military personnel properly.
At the end of the meeting, Rector Armen Muradyan expressed readiness to develop a new format for deepening cooperation with Lyon University.
