This was stated by the former president of the Football Federation of Armenia and former deputy Ruben Hayrapetyan in an interview with NEWS.am, referring to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's statement that no investments have been made in Shushi, 'only one oligarch built a house there, and either he was deceived, or he wasn't.'

“Well, what can I say, that person is mentally ill, he needs treatment, who would deceive me? He is such an uninformed person, he hates Artsakh and Shushi so much that he doesn't know what investments have been made in Shushi, and it's not even about me at all. Investments have been made in Shushi by Konstantin Manukyan, the Sargsyan brothers, and from Russia, Karo came and built a museum, also Samvel Karapetyan has invested... The mayor of Shushi can tell exactly who came and what investments were made in Shushi, and all of them are people who came from abroad, why insult these people? Is he even aware that schools were built in Shushi, kindergartens were built, and I built one of the playgrounds, I built a sports school? He goes to poor people in the villages and deceives them, and once again discredits the loyal people of Artsakh. What, is it bad that we built houses, invested? Even if they were deceived, is that something to say?”

Hayrapetyan noted that for him, the best Baden-Baden and the Greek islands have always been Shushi, Artsakh. “Now this person is trying to shift his crimes onto other people. So many people have come and invested, now are all these people deceived and brought in to make investments?” he added.

It should be recalled that yesterday, during a visit to the Aragatsotn region, Nikol Pashinyan, addressing his controversial statement about Shushi, said that he made a mistake in form, but not in content, and that there have been no investments in Shushi, while the 'previous ones' built their homes in foreign countries. In response to a citizen's remark that Ruben Hayrapetyan built a house there, Pashinyan replied, “Yes, that's right, one oligarch was deceived, they took him there, built a house, or maybe they weren't deceived, I don't know. This is the reality.”
