Vanadzor Council Grants Over 3.5 Million Dram Tax Reduction on City’s Only Elite Building to Owner, Says Edmon Marukyan

The leader of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction in the National Assembly, Edmon Marukyan, made a post on his Facebook page.

“Dear Vanadzor residents, you always pay for your apartments and real estate, while the tax on the only elite building in Vanadzor has been reduced by 3,684,707 drams by the Vanadzor Council to the owner of the elite building. This is a favor being done to the owner company at the expense of the poor budget of the residents of Vanadzor. Here’s everything you need to know about the local authority of Vanadzor.”

Marukyan added, “The ‘Enlightened Armenia’ faction of the Vanadzor Council demanded to remove the issue from the agenda, after which they boycotted it by not ensuring a quorum so that the issue would not be discussed and adopted. However, with a majority of votes, the issue was included in the agenda and accepted.”
