Son of Gas Station Owner Stabs Employee in Aygeshat
On March 14, a stabbing incident occurred in the village of Aygeshat in the Armavir region. The police reported that a notification came from the hospital regarding bodily injury around 3 PM, stating that a 26-year-old young man had been transferred to the medical center with a stab wound to the abdomen.
Police who arrived at the hospital recorded that the victim had sustained injuries in Aygeshat. However, it was impossible to clarify the circumstances of the incident as he was unable to provide an explanation.
After speaking with the doctor, law enforcement officials went to Aygeshat to investigate further. It was revealed that the incident had occurred at the village's gas station, where the victim was employed. Subsequently, through inspections of the crime scene and coordination of the obtained information, it became clear that the victim had been stabbed by the 32-year-old son of the gas station owner during an argument over domestic issues.
The suspect was residing in Yerevan. Following explanatory work with the relatives, he presented himself to the Armavir police on March 15 and was arrested. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident. Measures are being taken to locate the knife used in the stabbing. The investigation is ongoing.
