32-Year-Old Driver Crashes Bentley into Pit in Yerevan
Today, on March 20, an accident occurred in Yerevan. According to Shmashyan.com, between 4:00 and 4:30 AM, 32-year-old Karapet Takhyan lost control of his Bentley with license plate 77 XF 777 and ended up suspended in a pit dug for construction work in front of the address 25/1 Nazarybekyan Street.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported as a result of the accident. The driver underwent sobriety testing, and it was determined that he was sober.
Several citizens gathered at the scene mentioned that construction work has been ongoing in that area for a long time, yet no warning signs have been installed, making it difficult for drivers to notice potential hazards, which can lead to accidents like the one that just occurred. One bystander commented, “We don’t know who will compensate the citizen's damages. It would have been better if the construction company had placed appropriate warning signs and also installed lighting beacons for safety. If that had been done, this accident would not have happened.”
