Serzh Sargsyan Has No Real Estate or Securities, Says Third President's Lawyer
The third president of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, possesses neither real estate nor movable property, shares, or securities. This statement was made by Sargsyan's lawyer, Amram Makinyan, on his Facebook page, responding to information published by Factor TV.
“In reference to the article titled ‘The Court Kept Almost $1 Million of Serzh Sargsyan's Property Under Arrest’ published by Factor TV yesterday, it is necessary to emphasize for the media outlet that the third President of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan, owns neither real estate nor movable property, shares, or securities. Therefore, I consider it ungrateful to manipulate the article’s phrasing and use inappropriate punctuation to create a different impression on the public regarding the same amount stated in various currencies,” wrote Makinyan.
“Regarding the financial resources of the third President of Armenia, I believe a professional media should be fully aware of the sources and amounts over the years, with comprehensive information available in S. Sargsyan's declarations. At the same time, as the lawyer of the third President of Armenia, I inform that any future attempts to publish similar manipulative materials will compel the media outlet that publishes distorted information to seek legal assistance,” he added.
