Relatives of a Deceased Baby during Cesarean Section Clash and Damage Hospital Door in Gavar

A resident of Karmir Gyugh community in Gegharkunik Province went to the mentioned medical center on March 18, 2021, around 07:00, where a cesarean section was performed, resulting in a likely stillborn. This was reported by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.

"On March 18, 2021, at 09:20, the Gavar Medical Center informed the Gavar Division of the RA Police that a newborn baby had died during a cesarean section, and the baby's relatives had a confrontation and broke the hospital door.

During the preparation of materials, it was found that a resident of Karmir Gyugh community in Gegharkunik Province applied to the medical center at around 07:00 on March 18, where a cesarean section was performed, and the woman had a likely stillborn fetus. An inquiry is being prepared at the Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department regarding the incident," the statement noted.
