Another healthcare worker in Georgia has experienced anaphylactic shock following vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine, according to reports from Georgian television station Rustavi-2.
The woman’s condition is currently stable, and her life is not in danger, doctors at the clinic have assured.
At the same time, the head of the National Center for Disease Control at the Ministry of Health of Georgia told reporters that anaphylactic shock has not yet been confirmed in this case. According to him, the committee needs to draw the appropriate conclusion to study the side effects. “I confirm that there was an acute allergic reaction, but it still remains to be established whether there was anaphylactic shock or not. The patient is feeling well now,” said Gamkrelidze.
The previous day, on March 18, in the city of Akhaltsikhe, a nurse fell into a coma after being vaccinated with AstraZeneca, and news emerged today that the nurse has died.
However, the Ministry of Health of Georgia has stated that they do not intend to halt the vaccination process with AstraZeneca.
