Why Nikol Pashinyan Has Decided to Visit a Ministry Every Week and Hold Consultations: 'Jradzhanout'
According to the newspaper 'Jradzhanout', as opposition forces and parts of society await snap parliamentary elections, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan is attempting to attract new people to his side. This is precisely the reason why Pashinyan has decided to visit a ministry every week and hold consultations while making ambitious proposals.
For instance, yesterday he visited the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports, making promises in an effort to gain the support of teachers and intellectuals, who have also recently demanded the Prime Minister's resignation. Specifically, during yesterday's consultation, Pashinyan stated that the salaries of certified teachers would initially increase by 30-50 percent and also spoke about the volumes of science funding and changes in the funding landscape, stating that especially in a new environment, science funding should be increased.
Thus, by addressing problematic sectors and making promises, he is trying to mitigate the anger present among intellectuals and the academic community. It is no secret that they have also made various statements demanding his resignation.
