7500 Soldiers and a Large Number of Armored Vehicles: Ministry of Defense Begins Exercises
According to the plan for the preparedness of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia for the first half of 2021, from March 16 to 20, tactical and tactical-specialized joint exercises will be conducted in all operational directions of the Armed Forces of Armenia. These exercises will involve various formations, branches of the military, and special forces units, aimed at:
- assessing the combat readiness of the troops, the capabilities of operational unit management, and the ability to act quickly in created situations,
- clarifying interaction issues between manpower, provided and supporting forces and means,
- conducting training sessions for units and fire management, simulating operational-tactical episodes with both combat and non-combat firing.
Approximately 7500 soldiers will participate in the tactical and tactical-specialized exercises, supported by around 200 missile, rocket-artillery, and artillery systems, more than 150 anti-tank systems, about 100 armored vehicles, and over 90 air defense assets. In addition, air offensive means (aviation) will also be involved to support the tactical operations of the troops.
