Vladimir Putin Appoints Dmitry Medvedev to New Position

Russian President Vladimir Putin has confirmed the composition of the presidential council on science and education. The council is led by the head of state himself.

Dmitry Medvedev has been appointed as the deputy chairman of the council. The presidential decree was published on the official legal information portal.

It is noteworthy that Andrey Fursenko has been appointed as the assistant to the council’s chairman. The council includes rectors of various institutes, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov, head of the Russian Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko, presidential assistant Maxim Oreshkin, State Duma deputy Gennady Onishchenko, Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, among others.
