Tragic Accident in Yerevan: Passerby Discovers Deceased is His Brother

Today, on March 14, a tragic incident occurred in Yerevan. According to Shamshyan.com, at approximately 19:20, a motorcycle collided with an Opel vehicle on the overpass from Abovyan Street to Terian Street. As a result of the collision, the motorcycle overturned, and the motorcyclist died on the spot.

Emergency services quickly arrived at the scene with a firefighting and rescue unit from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Traffic police officers also arrived, led by Yerevan Traffic Police Chief Khachik Samvelyan.

A criminal case has been initiated under the second part of Article 242 of the RA Criminal Code. The police and investigative department are identifying the driver of the Opel and the deceased motorcyclist.

Upon the investigator's directive, the car and the motorcycle, which had turned into scrap metal, are being transported to a special area maintained by the Yerevan Traffic Police.

Reports indicate that a passerby approached the scene, indicating to the traffic police, “As I was passing by, I noticed the motorcycle was overturned. Honestly, I had a suspicion that it could be my brother.” He called his brother's mobile phone, and a ring was heard near the deceased motorcyclist. It turned out that the deceased was indeed his brother.
