Gor Vardanyan Elected Rector of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia
Gor Patvakan Vardanyan has been elected as the rector of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia. Vardanyan received 17 votes in favor, 5 against, with 1 invalid ballot recorded.
Two members of the commission, Gohar Mamikonyan and Vardan Aleksanyan, refused to sign the protocol, citing specific violations. The issue arose from two ballots that were deemed valid by three commission members, while the aforementioned two regarded them as invalid. Ultimately, by a majority of votes, those two ballots were considered valid.
It is noteworthy that today marked the second round of elections for the rector of the National Polytechnic University of Armenia, following the first round where none of the four candidates garnered enough votes to proceed.
