Adventures of a Prosperous General in Kapan: Hraparak
Yesterday, a video of soldiers near the positions in Kapan went viral online, in which the soldiers raised concerns about the threats from the enemy and the dire conditions of the Armenian positions. Following this, other videos started emerging in which different soldiers refuted the claims made in the first video.
In one of the subsequent videos, Arman Kalajyan, who was later discovered to be associated with the ruling party, was seen questioning soldiers complaining about the poor conditions of their posts, "convincing" them to state that they were living a wonderful life, fully provided with food, clothing, and other necessities, as reported by hraparak.am.
“General, dear general,” the soldiers referred to Kalajyan in the video.
We learned that Kalajyan is also from the "International Fraternal Cossack Peacekeepers" organization, where, presumably, the members award each other military ranks. On the organization's website, the rank of Major General is listed next to Kalajyan's name, which is why he is addressed that way.
Although it is difficult to determine whether Kalajyan is actually serving, there are also circulating news reports that the authorities were sending him to manage the situation just yesterday.
