Processes Have Started Around Senior Officials Joining Onik Gasparyan
Processes have begun at the Ministry of Defense concerning senior officials who have joined the already former Chief of the General Staff, Onik Gasparyan. According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd," the leadership of the Ministry of Defense is inviting senior military officials who supported Gasparyan's statement, attempting to entice them with various offers.
They are inquiring about their financial and social conditions, offering beneficial loans, discussing options for placing their children in jobs, and trying to alleviate the situation so that they can work without issues with the future head of the General Staff and forget about the demand for the Prime Minister's resignation.
As is known, 40 military personnel joined Onik Gasparyan's statement on February 25. However, despite this, just two days ago, the same military personnel were publicly greeting Prime Minister Pashinyan, and now the leadership of the Ministry of Defense is trying to win them over.
Another noteworthy aspect: despite Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's decision to dismiss Onik Gasparyan from his position on charges of attempting a military coup on February 25, Armenian Foreign Minister Ara Aivazyan stated yesterday in an interview with Al Arabiya television, "I disagree with characterizing what happened in Armenia as an attempt at a coup d'état." What does this indicate? The head of an important government agency contradicts the Prime Minister and declares that there was no attempt at a military coup. Then the question arises: why was Onik Gasparyan removed from office by legal force? Was it only because he demanded the Prime Minister's resignation?
Additionally, it cannot be ruled out that we may soon hear about the Foreign Minister's resignation as well. Perhaps this time a group of Foreign Ministry employees will demand the Prime Minister's resignation. This is reported by the newspaper "Zhoghovurd."
