We observe the constructive attitude displayed by both Baku and Yerevan: Zakharova

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, addressed the recent statement by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev regarding the establishment of the Zangezur transport corridor during a weekly briefing.

"In general, we observe the constructive attitude displayed by both Baku and Yerevan within the framework of the trilateral working group chaired by the deputy prime ministers of Russia, Azerbaijan, and Armenia. The main task is to implement all agreements reached on the unblocking of economic and transport links at the highest level in the region.

We expect that the same attention will dominate in the search for mutually acceptable points of contact, both in official statements and in the media landscape of Azerbaijan and Armenia," Zakharova specifically stated.

Regarding Aliyev's claim that Azerbaijan, Turkey, and Iran have a common position on the implementation of transport projects in the region, Zakharova replied: "It would be strange for me to comment on the Azerbaijani president's statement. We have certain relations with that country, including in the economic sphere."
