Son-in-law and Father-in-law Detained for Armed Robbery of 50 Million Drams in Yerevan
On March 12, police conducted a special operation in the Kotayk region, resulting in the detention of two residents of Yerevan, 50-year-old Armen H. and 39-year-old Edgar S., at one of the gas stations in the village of Zovuni.
According to Shamshyan.com, the two are suspected of stealing 50 million drams from a currency exchange point located at 6/7 Kaghaznuni Street in central Yerevan on February 22, under the threat of weapons and grenades.
Reports indicate that they were traveling in an Opel Zafira. One acted as the executor, while the other assisted, with the two being related as son-in-law and father-in-law.
Today, based on the investigator's decision, the suspects were taken to the crime scene, where the executor indicated how and under what circumstances the money was stolen.
Both Armen H. and Edgar S. have been arrested according to the investigator's decision. The police and investigative department are taking necessary measures to recover the stolen money.
