Russia Comments on Turkey's Announcement to Purchase Su-35 and Su-57
Moscow is prepared to negotiate with Ankara regarding the supply of fifth-generation Su-57 fighters and Su-35 4++ generation fighters, as well as collaborate on the development of Turkey's latest combat aircraft. This was announced to journalists by Valeria Reshetnikova, spokesperson for the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation of the Russian Federation, as reported by RIA Novosti.
Earlier, Turkey's Minister of Industry and Technology, Mustafa Varank, stated that Ankara does not rule out the possibility of purchasing Su-35 and Su-57 fighters but considers the development of its own fifth-generation fighter aircraft a priority.
“Regarding Ankara's possible plans to purchase Russian Su-35 and Su-57 fighters, it should be noted that the Turkish side is fully informed about their technical specifications. If a request for these aircraft comes from Turkey, we are ready to negotiate on this issue,” Reshetnikova said.
She mentioned that Turkey has long intended to implement its own fifth-generation TF-X fighter project, and Russia is willing to collaborate on this project if a corresponding request is submitted.
