Araik Harutyunyan Secures Himself: 'Hraparak'
The President of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, convened an extended meeting of the Security Council of Artsakh yesterday, to which representatives of opposition factions declined to participate. This includes members from the ARF, 'Justice', and the ARF party.
“We see that Araik Harutyunyan is not fulfilling his promises made in his December address. He mentioned that all significant issues for the country would be decided at the Security Council meetings, yet we saw that with a single stroke of the pen, he decided that there would be no local government elections in Artsakh until March 1, 2022. This is a very important decision that also allows him to ensure that at least for one year, snap elections will not take place,” said Davit Galstyan, leader of the 'Justice' faction.
“We reject this and state that this institution is fake. Araik Harutyunyan does not fulfill his promises, does not pursue serious reforms, and has formed a new government through personnel reshuffles with former staff by appointing his close circle to positions,” the 'Hraparak' newspaper reports.
