A Book by Turkish Author Umit Kurt on the Armenian Genocide to Be Released in April
Harvard University Press is set to publish a book by Umit Kurt, a Turkish lecturer at Clark University in Massachusetts, regarding the Armenian Genocide in April. The announcement was made by renowned historian and professor Taner Akçam, known for his critical views on Turkey's denialist policies, on his Facebook page.
The book, titled "The Armenians of Ain’tapa: The Economics of Genocide in the Ottoman Vilayet," is based on Umit Kurt's doctoral dissertation. Kurt is also one of the co-authors, alongside Professor Taner Akçam, of another book on the Armenian Genocide titled "The Spirit of the Laws: Seeking the Traces of the Armenian Genocide in the Law on Abandoned Property."
