Tiran Khachatryan Was Dismissed with Gross Violations, Legal Firm Claims Suspension of His Removal Order

TK & Partners law firm has taken on the representation of the interests of Armenia's national hero, Lieutenant General Tiran Khachatryan. The firm reports that through a thorough examination of the legal issues, they have confirmed that the senior officer of the Armenian army was dismissed from his position with numerous and gross violations of the Constitution and laws.

The Administrative Court has accepted the lawsuit for processing and has scheduled a preliminary court hearing for April 29 at 11:00 AM.

"We also inform that according to Article 83 of the Administrative Procedure Code, the acceptance of the lawsuit by the court suspends the execution of the contested administrative act (the presidential decree of the Republic of Armenia) until the court ruling on the merits of the case enters into legal force. We will do everything within the legal framework to have the order of dismissal annulled by the court," reads the statement circulated by the firm.

On March 4, it became known that the former Deputy Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Tiran Khachatryan, has appealed to the Administrative Court to declare the presidential decree regarding his dismissal invalid.

Tiran Khachatryan was dismissed from his position as the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces on February 24.
