Snow Cover Expected to Increase by 40-50 cm in Mountainous and Sub-Mountainous Areas
On March 11, during the day, and on the 12th, the republic will be under the influence of a powerful cyclone. On March 11, heavy snow is expected in mountainous and sub-mountainous areas, and on March 12, snowfall is expected across the entire territory of the republic, with intense snowfall in some areas, and blizzards along with low horizontal visibility in mountainous regions.
In the central mountainous and sub-mountainous regions of the republic, an increase in snow cover by 40-50 cm is expected on March 11 during the day and on the 12th. On the night of March 13 and in the morning, due to clearer weather and a sharp drop in temperature, almost all roads in the republic will experience black ice; drivers are urged to exercise caution.
In the territory of the republic, precipitation is expected on March 11 during the day, and on the 12th across the entire territory in the form of snow in mountainous and sub-mountainous areas. From March 13-16, dry weather is anticipated.
The wind will be from the northeast at 5-10 m/s, with gusts reaching 15-20 m/s in some areas on March 12. The air temperature will drop by 8-10 degrees during the day on March 11-12, and a further 9-10 degrees overnight on the 13th.
In Yerevan, scattered precipitation is expected on March 11 during the day, with mixed rain and snow on that date, and snowfall on the 12th. From March 13-16, dry weather is anticipated.
