Ara Ayvazyan's Meeting with UAE Foreign Minister Concluded

On March 11, during his working visit to the United Arab Emirates, Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ara Ayvazyan met with UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This was reported by the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Minister Ayvazyan reaffirmed Armenia's intention to deepen relations with the United Arab Emirates, serving as a connecting link for diverse cooperation between Armenia and the Gulf Arab countries.

The ministers discussed a wide range of bilateral agenda issues. The importance of maintaining the dynamics of political dialogue was emphasized, including through consultations.

Prospective areas for trade and economic cooperation highlighted included information technology, agriculture, food security, renewable energy, and tourism. In this regard, the continuity of the work of the Armenian-UAE intergovernmental joint commission was underscored.

The Foreign Ministers emphasized the bridging role of the UAE Armenian community in strengthening and deepening the Armenian-UAE relations based on mutual trust. In this context, Minister Ayvazyan appreciated the caring attitude of the UAE authorities toward the Armenian community, which reflects the UAE's commitment to tolerance and cultural diversity.

Key issues of regional security and stability occupied a central place on the agenda of the meeting. In this context, the head of Armenia's foreign policy agency emphasized that the Middle East occupies an important place in Armenia's comprehensive security environment, and recent events have highlighted how interconnected the security of the South Caucasus and the Middle East is. The ministers agreed that conflicts have no military solution, and any manifestation of extremism poses a threat to regional peace and stability.
