48-Year-Old Resident of Armavir Arrested for Attempted Murder
On March 4, 2021, a report was filed by a citizen stating that on March 1, between 10:30 and 10:45, a 48-year-old resident of Armavir unlawfully entered her apartment and attempted to strangle her with a black charging cable for the purpose of killing her without cause. This information has been disseminated by the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia.
“In connection with the incident, a criminal case has been initiated at the Armavir Regional Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia under Part 1 of Article 34-104 of the RA Criminal Code. The woman who reported the incident has been recognized as a victim. As a result of the measures taken, the 48-year-old man was located, detained by the RA Police, and presented to the prosecuting authority. Based on sufficient evidence, charges have been brought against him for attempted murder under Part 1 of Article 34-104 of the RA Criminal Code. He has been arrested. The preliminary investigation is ongoing,” the statement said.
