VIDEO: Teen Stabbed in Gavar

On March 3, a report was received at the Gavar police station from the hospital indicating that a teenager born in 2004 was admitted with "penetrating stab wounds to the chest, hemorrhagic traumatic shock, and pneumothorax."

As a result of operational-investigative measures conducted by the police of the Gegharkunik region and the Gavar division, it was determined that during a dispute on Buniatyan Street in Gavar, the teenager was stabbed by another teenager born in 2005.

The assailant turned himself in at the Gavar police station, where he was subsequently presented to the investigative body. Measures are being taken to locate the knife used in the crime. Expert examinations have been appointed. The circumstances and causes of the incident are being clarified during the investigation.

Notification: The suspect or accused in the alleged crime is considered innocent until proven guilty by a court ruling that has entered into legal force in accordance with the provisions of the criminal procedure code of the Republic of Armenia.
