VIDEO: Sandstorm Hits China's Capital

A powerful sandstorm has struck Beijing, leading local authorities to declare a yellow warning for hazardous conditions, according to TASS.

The natural phenomenon has caused significant disruptions, with visibility drastically reduced. Residents have been advised to cancel outdoor activities and to refrain from going outside unless absolutely necessary.

In the central districts of the city, the concentration of PM 10 particulate matter has exceeded 8000 micrograms per cubic meter, which is 160 times higher than the World Health Organization's maximum permissible limit of 50 µg/m³.
