Lars is Open for All Types of Vehicles

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reports that there are closed roads within the territory of Armenia. The Berd-Jambarak road is closed, as are the roads from the 'Amberd' high-mountain meteorological station in the Aragatsotn region to the Amberd Fortress and to the Karch lake.

The Vardenyats Pass is closed to trucks with trailers and is difficult to pass for other vehicles. In the town of Jermuk in Vayots Dzor province, snow is falling.

According to information received from the Emergency Management Department of Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Crisis Management Center of the Russian Emergency Ministry of North Ossetia, the Stepanstminda-Lars road is open for all types of vehicles. There are approximately 500 cargo trucks stuck on the Russian side.
