Who Ordered and Under What Conditions Did the Fateful Operation of October 4, 2020, Take Place - Former Deputy Minister of Defense

Former Deputy Minister of Defense Artak Zakaryan wrote on his Facebook page: "The state of Armenia has been built and established for 26 years. It has been constructed to such an extent that the snipers and special police forces still protect the state authorities who have betrayed the nation. If you think that these snipers and police do not suspect their 'protector' of treason, you are mistaken. I am confident that their personal views do not differ much from those of the vast majority of society. I do not believe that there is even one officer in Armenia's security forces who is prepared to shoot at a peaceful populace that does not tolerate betrayal. Moreover, ensuring the safety of someone who is manifestly suspected of treason is correct from the standpoint of statehood. Otherwise, the causes and motivations of one of the gravest historical crimes committed against the Armenian people will remain uncovered and obscure.

There should not be 'vigilante justice,' and our people should receive answers to all questions in a court of law. In particular: A) Who, why, and how failed to implement the necessary defensive measures stipulated under martial law? B) Who ordered and under what conditions did the fateful operation of October 4, 2020, take place, after which the defensive lines on the southern front of Artsakh were never restored? As a result, the adversary captured Hadrut, Shushi, and a number of settlements in Askeran and Martuni. C) What topics and through what channels were direct negotiations (information transfer) conducted between the suspected traitor and the leader of the adversary state, and why was it impossible to prevent the war through political means? D) With whom (from which state institution or officials) did the suspected traitor consult regarding the Russian President's proposal to stop the war on October 19, 2020? E) With whom did the suspected traitor consult and coordinate before signing the draft capitulation statement on November 9, 2020? In what format were the points of this statement discussed with the Armenian political leadership (if they were discussed)? F) Why and for what real purposes did the all-Armenian information headquarters distort all information about the situation created at the front after October 4, 2020, and from whom did they receive daily directives? G) In exchange for what and what agreements were there with the leader of the adversary state, as a result of which, from September 2018 to June 2019, the adversary reduced border tensions by significantly decreasing the number of violations of the ceasefire regime? H) When and which entities reported the possibility of mercenary extremist terrorists from Syria, Turkey, and other countries preparing to fight against Artsakh? What preventive measures did the suspected traitor take as a result? I) Why did the state and territorial administration bodies fail the established plans for troop mobilization and replenishment? J) What power centers instigated the fabrication of criminal, false cases and anti-propaganda actions against almost all past and present commanders of the Artsakh movement and war?"
