Tragic Incident in Lori Province: Newborn Girl Dies, Her 22-Year-Old Mother in Critical Condition

A tragic incident occurred on March 7 at the "Noyemberyan" medical center. Around 18:15, a call was received by the Noyemberyan police department from 36-year-old Arthur A., who reported that his wife and child had been killed at the medical center, blaming the doctors for the incident.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, an operational group from the police and an investigation team from the Tavush regional investigative department of the Armenian Investigative Committee were dispatched to the site.

Officers and investigators have determined that on the same day at approximately 12:55, Arthur A.’s pregnant wife, 22-year-old Lilit B., was admitted to the gynecological department of the medical center. Arthur A. informed the police and investigators that at around 17:30, a female newborn was delivered by gynecologist Vahe N. at the “Noyemberyan” medical center, but the newborn died five minutes later, while the mother Lilit B. remains in critical condition.

Materials on this case have been transferred to the Noyemberyan investigative department of the Tavush regional investigative committee.
