Snowstorm on the Goris-Sisian Road Section, Visibility Reduced to 1 Meter

The Armenian Ministry of Infrastructure and Territorial Development's State Non-Commercial Organization, the Road Department, reports that as of March 9 at 09:30, areas around Ashotsk, Vanadzor, Stepanavan, Tumanyan, Tashir, Sevan, Dilijan, Noyemberyan, and Kapan, as well as the Horum-Artik-Alagyaz roadway and the Tigranashen Bend, are experiencing black ice in various locations.

The Dilijan bends and the Vardenyats Pass are closed for trailer vehicles.

Due to heavy snowfall, the Ttujur-Navur roadway is closed for all types of vehicles. On the Goris-Sisian road section, heavy snowfall is reported with visibility reduced to 1 meter.

Other interstate and republican roads remain open. Road construction crews are conducting cleaning and treatment operations with salt and sand on the roadways.
