You Simply Have No Right to Conduct Secret Processes: MPs Visit Tavush

The MP from the LHK faction, Anna Kostanyan, writes: “Yesterday evening and today we visited the communities of Novoyemberyan, Voskepar, Baghanis, Kiranth, Kayanavan/Barkhudarly, and Azatamut in the Tavush region. We spoke with the local population, including the mayor of Kiranth. We also met with residents in Azatamut. At this moment, everything is calm; people are busy with their daily lives, and no one is aware of what rumors are circulating and for what purpose.

The resident living near the border and the soldier standing on duty quietly protect their land. The disputed areas that have become a subject of discussion on social media, according to annotations made on Google Maps, have concerned both us and the residents. If indeed a question arises regarding the demarcation of these areas, this government must answer why they officially denied the news that circulated today.

You simply have no right to conduct secret processes (if such exist) behind the backs of the residents living on the border. If there is an issue, present it openly to the people; do not let tensions rise and spread panic among citizens who have not yet recovered from the war, inundated with daily worries and concerns.”
