I Am Confident That the Recordings Exist, But the Time to Publish Is Not Yet: Hratchya Hakobyan
Hratchya Hakobyan, a member of the ‘My Step’ faction in the Armenian National Assembly and the brother-in-law of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, today addressed the controversial statement made by the Chief of the General Staff and the alleged ‘attempt at military coup’ during an interview on ‘Factor’.
“The main rejected figure in the country has somehow participated in this process. Perhaps I do not exclude this, and I will say more: the Prime Minister would not have made a statement just like that. Yes, I am almost confident that there are those recordings that are being talked about. They themselves have also spoken about this,” said the MP, referring to the recorded conversation between Serzh Sargsyan and Onik Gasparyan that was mentioned by the son-in-law of the third president, Mikayel Minasyan.
When asked if he has heard these recordings, Hakobyan replied, “No, I have not heard these recordings, but I am confident that it would not be discussed without reason... Mikayel Minasyan’s statement cannot prevent the NSS or law enforcement from releasing anything; it simply is not yet the time to publish them. As for what recordings Mikayel Minasyan is talking about, he knows.”
