Russian Peacekeepers Visit Tavush Region, But Their Purpose Remains Unclear, Says Community Leader
Russian peacekeepers have visited the Tavush region, but no one knows the purpose of their visit, as there has been no official announcement. This was stated by Arthur Beginyan, the head of the Azatamut community in Tavush region, in an interview with Tert.am today.
“The Russians came, but the rumors about Azerbaijanis coming and putting up flags are not true. We learned about the Russians' arrival from the military, but we do not know what the purpose is. Some say they came to a military base, while others say they have gone towards the border; there are various talks,” he clarified.
